The resurrection of stale bread and cheese hiding in the corner of the fridge
In this recipe, dried-out bread and leftover cheese scraps take center stage. You don't need any special ingredients or extensive culinary knowledge to prepare this garlic and cheese bread patty. The result speaks for itself – honestly, we didn't think it would turn out this delicious. It's guaranteed to disappear completely.
Ingredients:
- 150g stale bread
- 1 egg
- 200ml milk
- 60g grated cheese
- salt to taste
- pepper to taste
- Vegeta to taste
- 1 clove garlic
- oil as needed
- breadcrumbs as needed
Preparation
- Cut the bread into small cubes and grate the cheese. Beat the egg and pour in the milk.
- Pour the milk and egg mixture over the bread. Season with salt, pepper, Vegeta, and crushed garlic. Mix together by hand.
- Add the cheese. If the mixture is too thin, add some breadcrumbs; if it's too thick, thin it out with a little milk.
- Form small balls, flatten them, and fry them in plenty of hot oil until golden brown.

The Place Where You Too Can Be a True Kitchen Wizard
Gastronomy is one of our oldest and perhaps most important connection points. Cooking and baking together and shared meals have always been at the center of social life. Many secretly watch cooking videos, and some dream of becoming a master chef or at least following a gastro blog. Some have already shared a recipe on social media, or simply helped grandma prepare Sunday lunch. What's really interesting is that even those who've never done any of this quickly get hooked on the joy of cooking and baking! The concept of Budapest Makery restaurant is built around this community-building experience. It's a restaurant where cooking together happens in an open, well-equipped kitchen. Guests walk in, put on an apron, and can surrender themselves to culinary pleasures for a couple of hours. Cooking and baking connects us, even in times when human contact opportunities are limited. The Makery team has solutions for such periods too; thanks to their Delivery service, they bring the shared creation experience right to your home.
