How does MunCharity work?

Social responsibility has always played an important role in Munch's operations alongside business and environmental sustainability. That's why we're now taking the tradition of donation to the next level. With the help of the MunCharity project, you can put a warm meal on the table of a family in need by purchasing a single product. 10 non-profit organizations have already joined the campaign, working with social groups such as families raising children with special needs, homeless people, and those struggling with mental health issues.

One unique feature of the project is that volunteering is not required to donate. Customers only need to purchase a MunCharity product on the Munch platform, automatically contributing to the MunCharity fund. Munch continuously fills the Munch Wallet of families participating in the project from the collected fund, so the entire amount reaches people and families in need.

Results so far

The campaign launched in December and, unlike typical Christmas campaigns, MunCharity will continue into 2022. Since the start of the campaign, more than 850 surprise packages have reached over 130 families in need, worth approximately 1,300,000 forints.

The future of MunCharity

As we mentioned, our goal was to create a sustainable charitable campaign that could be expanded nationwide. So MunCharity will not only continue as it is, but we want to help our partner organizations' members with even greater effort.

Among our current partner organizations are, for example, the KIKAPCS. Foundation, the Menedékház Foundation, the Menhely Foundation, and the "RÉS" Social and Cultural Foundation. In the future, we would like to involve more partner organizations and bring the joy of food rescue to more people.
