Vegan burger with oat patty

Ingredients:

For the patty:

  • 25 dkg oat flakes
  • 2 tbsp oat bran
  • 1 tbsp mustard
  • 1 small red onion (finely chopped)
  • 1 clove garlic (finely chopped)
  • marjoram to taste
  • savory to taste
  • paprika to taste
  • salt to taste
  • 1 tbsp sesame seeds (to taste)
  • 2 tbsp sunflower oil
For the burger:
  • hamburger bun
  • vegetables
  • cheese
  • sauce of your choice

Preparation:

  1. Pour a small amount of hot salted water over the oat flakes and cover until they soften and absorb the water. If there is excess water, drain it off.
  2. Add the finely chopped onion and garlic to the cooled mass – it's best to chop them with a food processor – then add the spices and a tablespoon of mustard.
  3. You can mix various seeds into the mass, then add 2 tablespoons of oat bran.
  4. Heat the oil and fry the patties.
  5. Cut the buns in half and spread mustard on them first.
  6. Place the green leaves (lettuce/spinach) on top.
  7. Place the patty on top.
  8. Add sliced vegetables as desired. (onion, cucumber, tomato).
  9. Next come the cheese slices, and finally top with ketchup, mayonnaise, or another sauce.

Red bean and chickpea vegan burger

Ingredients:

For the patty:

  • 1 can red beans
  • 1/2 can chickpeas
  • a small amount of breadcrumbs
  • oregano
  • ground cumin
  • olive oil
  • 1 head red onion
For the burger:
  • hamburger bun
  • vegetables
  • cheese
  • sauce of your choice

Preparation:

  1. Drain the red bean can and chickpeas, then put them in a blender and add a small amount of breadcrumbs, oregano, and ground cumin, then blend everything into a moldable, homogeneous mass.
  2. Shape four patties from it and set aside. Slice the red onion into thin strips and soften in a pan with a small amount of olive oil, then set aside.
  3. Add a small amount of oil to the pan again, then fry the bean burgers on both sides for a few minutes. Cut the buns in half, toast them slightly, then spread with ketchup and/or (vegan) mayonnaise. Place the bean patty on top, the fried onion, and a few lettuce leaves, then cover with the top of the bun. You can enrich it with tomato, avocado, or use ciabatta instead of a bun.

Camembert burger

Ingredients:

For the filling:

  • 80 dkg camembert cheese (4 cheese cubes)
  • 20 g fine flour
  • 2 eggs
  • 120 g breadcrumbs
  • 3 dl sunflower oil
  • 500 g beets
  • 200 g mayonnaise
  • ground caraway to taste
  • 50 g powdered sugar
  • salt to taste
  • pepper to taste
  • blueberry jam
  • eggplant
  • arugula
For the burger: similar to the previous recipes.

Preparation:

  1. For the mayonnaise beets, peel the beets, cut into four pieces, cook, grate, cool, and mix with the other ingredients.
  2. Toast the halved hamburger buns.
  3. Breaded the cheese, and deep fry in hot oil. Grill the eggplant.
  4. On the base of the burger patty, place the beet mayonnaise, then the arugula, the breaded camembert cheese, top with grilled eggplant with pepper, then the blueberry jam. Cover with the top, and you're done.

Burger with French salad and green peas

Ingredients:

For the patty:

  • 25 dkg green peas
  • 15 dkg French salad base
  • 15 dkg oat flakes
  • 10 dkg Trappist cheese (optional)
  • 1 medium red onion (finely chopped)
  • salt to taste
  • pepper to taste
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 1 bunch parsley
  • 1 tbsp paprika cream
  • 1 tbsp sunflower oil (for frying)
For the burger: similar to the previous recipes.

Preparation:

  1. Cook the vegetables together in salted water. Then puree them (with an immersion blender or potato masher). It should be chunky, not too mushy!
  2. Add all remaining ingredients, grate the cheese with a coarse grater. Mix the mass together, then let it rest.
  3. Shape flat patties roughly the size of the bun diameter.
  4. In a pancake pan, on oil/fat, fry both sides of the "burger patties" until golden brown.
  5. Finally, assemble your burger as desired.
